A flood warning remains in force for several low-lying and flood-prone areas across the Western Division, according to the weather office.
The Fiji Meteorological Service says communities adjacent to and downstream of the Nakauvadra River in Rakiraki Town, Naseani on the Yaqara River, Tavua at the Nasivi River and Tavua Town Bridge, Navala River, Toge River in Ba, and the FSC Mill River in Ba are at risk of flooding.
The warning comes as a trough of low pressure, accompanied by persistent cloud and rain, continues to affect the Fiji Group.
Near real-time river level data and rainfall forecasts indicate water levels are rising in the Rakiraki, Tavua and Ba river systems, increasing the risk of flooding.
Authorities are urging residents in affected areas to remain vigilant, monitor river levels closely, and take necessary precautions as heavy rain continues.
