Flights are being diverted away from Nadi International Airport after the main runway lighting system became non-operational, according to The Fiji Times sources.
At least four flights have been diverted so far — three to Suva and one to Apia.
FJ910 flight from Sydney to Nadi has been diverted to Apia.
Also, Fiji Airways flight FJ934 from Melbourne to Nadi, was diverted to Apia, but Flightradar shows it is returning towards Fiji.
Airport authorities are yet to issue an official statement as the situation continues to unfold.
