Residents in the Southern and Central Eastern Divisions, including Navua, Suva, Nausori, Tailevu North, Ovalau, Kadavu, Coral Coast, and Vanua Levu, are warned of ongoing flood risks as a flash flood alert remains in force.
The Fiji Meteorological Service reports in a special bulletin at 6:30am that a trough of low pressure, accompanied by heavy cloud and rain, continues to affect the group.
Authorities say isolated heavy rainfall may trigger flash flooding, with potential impacts including flooding in drainages, small streams, low-water bridges, IRIS crossings, roads, and properties in low-lying areas.
Residents in affected areas are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
