Youths possess ideas and creativity, qualities that can turn agriculture into a modern, dynamic, and rewarding career, says Fiji Gas PTE Ltd accounts manager West Sanjayan Sharma.
Mr Sharma told attendees of the Fiji Gas Ba Farmers carnival last Saturday that agriculture was evolving in Fiji, with the youth holding the key to that evolution.
“This year’s theme, ‘Empowering Youth in Agricultural Activities; could not be more relevant,” he said.
“They are the innovators who will blend traditional wisdom with modern technology to drive sustainable farming and food security for generations to come.”
Mr Sharma said youths needed encouragement, mentorship, and opportunities.
“Empowering them means investing in training and technology so they can take farming to the next level.
