Tappoo proved to be the standout side of the 2025 Lautoka Business House Netball competition, clinching the title after a strong 29–17 victory over Fiji Airways on Thursday night’s grand final at the Lautoka Multipurpose Court.
In a tightly contested match, Tappoo showed discipline and composure throughout, pulling away in the second half on the back of their dominant defensive unit.
Their defenders were relentless, cutting off passes, winning crucial turnovers, and keeping Fiji Airways under pressure in almost every phase of play.
Tappoo captain Alipate Lagivala said their win came down to trust and commitment to their structure.
“Our game plan was to stick to our game plan.
“The competition was tough, but we just believed in ourselves and we believed in all our players that took that court.”
The victory capped off a consistent campaign for Tappoo, who remained one of the most organised and balanced teams throughout the tournament.
