THE stage is set.

After weeks of bruising schoolboy and schoolgirl rugby, the 2026 Vodafone Super Deans and Weet-Bix Raluve championships have produced their finalists, with eight national titles to be decided next week at the HFC Bank National Stadium in Suva.

Suva Grammar School (SGS) is the best represented school, with three teams, under-16, U17 and U18, reaching the Super Deans finals.

Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS), Queen Victoria School (QVS) and Lelean Memorial School (LMS) will each have two finalists.

Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) will be represented by its U15 side, while Ratu Navula College (RNC) is the lone Western school in the finals.

But the biggest story belongs to the North.

Navatu Secondary School carries the hopes of the entire Northern Division after becoming the first Northern school to reach a Super Deans final.

Navatu’s U19 side created history with a hard-fought 22-17 victory over RKS in the semi-final.

LMS earned its final place with a 36-27 win over RNC.

The other semi-finals produced their own drama.

QVS defeated Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School (MGM) 22-15 in the U14, while Ratu Navula College edged Ratu Kadavulevu School 26-25.

In the U15, Ratu Kadavulevu School beat Queen Victoria School 28-26, while Marist Brothers High School accounted for Lelean Memorial School 16-3.

QVS defeated MGM 17-15 in the U16, while SGS shut out Nasinu Secondary School 22-0.

RKS defeated Ba Methodist High School 47-29 in the U17, with SGS beating QVS 32-24.

The U18 final will see SGS meet LMS.

The Weet-Bix Raluve finals will feature Nasinu Secondary School against St Vincent College in the U16 and MGM against Lomary Secondary School in the U18.

For some schools, next week’s finals will be another chapter in a proud tradition.

For Navatu Secondary School, it is an opportunity to make history even greater.
