Fashionistas with a flair for gracing the runway were urged to turn up for the Fiji Fashion Week’s (FJFW) final model call in Suva yesterday.

According to FJFW model coordinator Lydianna Moses, this would be the final model call as two auditions were already held in late 2021.

Ms Moses also said the new talent coming through was exciting and reflective of the interest young people had in modeling and the fashion industry overall.

“We need to recruit 60 models, both females and males, for the show this year and we are very interested in a wide range of looks, ages and features for this year’s show which will be held at the Vodafone Arena,” she said.

According to operations manager Chris Vanua, FJFW was very proud of the models produced since 2008.

“Most have used the skills taught at FJFW as a basis to a great career,” he said.

He also said over 1000 models had walked for FJFW since its first show in 2008.

The auditions will be held at the Vodafone Arena at 12pm. Models are required to be at least 5’8 or 173 centimetres without heels.

The dress code is shorts or a short skirt and white T-shirt.

Prospective models have also been asked to bring their own heels. A majority of models recruited are between the ages of 16 to 30 years.
