Ratu Navula College U16 will go back to the drawing board and work on their discipline as they prepare for their Western Secondary School Rugby Union final against Cuvu College next week.

Ratu Navula showed great resilience in their semi-final clash against Ra High School, securing a 34-10 victory despite being reduced to just 11 players towards the end of the match.

The side received two red cards and two yellow cards during the encounter but produced a determined defensive effort to keep Ra High at bay. Their strong defensive structure denied Ra several scoring opportunities as they held on for a convincing win.

Meanwhile, Cuvu College booked their place in the final after edging Natabua High School 15-14 in a tightly contested semi-final.

Ratu Navula assistant manager Sainimere Donu said the match against Ra tested the team’s patience and character.

“The game against Ra really tested our patience. We are taking one game at a time.

“As for our discipline, we will go back and talk to our children. They are still our children, and we will guide them and help them improve.”

The U16 final between Ratu Navula College and Cuvu College will be played next week at Lawaqa Park.
