FIJI’s youngest table tennis player Vicky Wu is the future of Fiji table tennis says Fiji Table Tennis Association president Anthony Ho.
Wu, 12, had a good tournament in the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
“I do not know about the future, but I am working hard in the sport of table tennis,” Wu said.
“The competition has taught me a lot of things and I have gained a lot of experience from the tough competition. At times I do get tired from playing, but I keep on hitting the ball.”
Wu is a Year 7 student at Yat Sen Primary School and he started playing table tennis when he was nine years old.
Ho said Wu had been working hard and he had a bright future in table tennis.
“Vicky Wu reached to the quarter-final and it is a very big effort from him as he played the number one player from New Caledonia.
“He is a very keen learner and always gives his best.”
