Fiji’s tourism sector continues to show strong recovery and growth, with earnings from international visitors reaching $744.2 million in the June quarter of 2025, said the Fiji Bureau of Statistics.
This was an increase of 3.8% compared to the same period in 2024.
According to the latest data, the June quarter also marked a 69.4% surge, equivalent to $304.9 million, compared to the previous March quarter of this year.
The jump reflects higher visitor arrivals during the peak travel season and a continued rebound in global travel demand.
Tourism earnings are calculated based on the estimated average daily spend by visitors and the total number of visitor days in Fiji.
Australia remained Fiji’s largest tourism market, contributing $167.5 million, or 49.8% of total earnings. New Zealand followed with $88.6 million (22.5%), while the United States brought in $28.2 million (11.9%).
Visitors from the Pacific Islands contributed $4.3 million, accounting for 3.8% of total tourism revenue.
