Fiji’s top Year 13 student Riya Devi last night received $300 and a gold medal from the Universal Peace Federation Central Pacific.
The presentation was made at the Sangam Convention in Lautoka.
Ministry of Education permanent secretary Dr Anjeela Jokhan joined Director Universal Peace Federation Central Pacific Santosh Neupane to hand over the medal and money to Riya.
Universal Peace Federation Central Pacific (NGO) has been promoting peace in Fiji through peace rallies, peace seminars, and character education programs in cooperation with the Ministry for Youth, Sports, and Productivity.
