Sources have confirmed with The Fiji Times that 17 FijiFirst parliamentarians have been expelled from the party.
The MPs received their letters via email in the past hour and it is understood a statement from the group will be issued soon.
Aside from the group of 16 who voted in favour of a report recommending emolument increase for some parliamentarians, unconfirmed reports say Alvick Maharaj, the FFP MP who is in parliament’s Special Emoluments Committee has also been dismissed.
