SOUTHAMPTON Fijian Fellowship Choir took home the coveted trophy for being the best choir in the Church Class One division on Saturday.
Church choir master Tomasi Kanailagi said they had been practising the hymn Ena Bai mai Jeriko which was written by Waisake Vueti after the conference last year.
The Lako Yani Vou Choir from Germany scooped three categories including the Sunday school and women’s division.
Germany Fijian Methodist Choir mistress Mereani Qaranivalu also took home the best conductor prize.
Aldershot Fijian Methodist Church choir won the best dressed and disciplined choir at this year”s competition.
In the men’s category, Tidworth Methodist Choir took the first prize while Cattterick Fijian Methodist Choir won the Church Class Two category.
Bicester Fijian Methodist Choir won the polotu category.

Preaching at the Easter Conference service at Tidworth Garrison, Mr Kaci reminded the congregation that came to be part of the three-day annual conference of the significance of Easter.
“It is a time of reflection for us and we thank the Lord for dying on the cross for our sins and we continue to do his good work,” he said.
