THE Fiji women’s national football team are determined to deliver a strong performance tomorrow when they face New Caledonia in their opening FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 Oceania qualifier at 4R Stadium at 4pm.
The match marks a crucial start to Fiji’s campaign on home soil, with the side eager to make a confident statement in front of local supporters in Ba, where the team has been preparing in camp.
Mohammed Yusuf is calling on fans, especially those in the Western Division, to come out in numbers and support the national side.
“This is the first opportunity for fans in the West to watch the World Cup qualifiers live.
“There are many Ba girls in the team, and they have been training well,” he said.
Yusuf said strong home support would be vital as Fiji looks to begin its qualifying campaign on a positive note.
