The Fiji women’s hockey team remained undefeated as the Oceania Hockey Pacific Cup is headed for the finals today.
The experienced-pack home team kept a perfect run from the round-robin matches to top the table after day two of competition.
“For every team going in you want to win, that’s our aim and we are taking one game at a time.
“We won all our matches and come the final day we would like to see the same results. We have areas to work on and that’s exactly what we are doing,” coach Alison Southey shared.
Meanehile, in yesterday’s results, Fiji women’s thrashed Tonga 13-1, Fiji Warriors drew 2-all with Vanuatu, lost 0-2 to New Zealand Fijians but managed to defeat the Solomon Islands 7-5.
In the men’s division, Fiji mens thrashed Fiji Warriors 12-1 and hammered Vanuatu 9-nil.
Samoa beat Vanuatu 6-3, NZ Fijians also defeated Vanuatu 5-3.
NZ went on to thump Samoa 8-1. Tonga edged Samoa 3-2.
