The SportsWorld Fiji U20 side delivered another dominant performance at the Oceania Rugby U20 Challenge, overpowering Canada 56-24 yesterday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The Baby Flying Fijians made a strong start, showcasing solid attacking structures and resilient defence that shut down most of Canada’s early opportunities. Fiji ran in six tries in the first half alone, with Adam Khan and Bogidrau Kikau each crossing for two tries, and one try apiece from Waisea Bainibure and Pita Manamanaivalu.

All six first-half conversions were successful by Asi Tuilagi and Iliesa Baravilala kicked three conversions each giving Fiji a commanding 42-7 lead at halftime. Canada’s only first-half points came from a try by fly-half Evan Davies, which was converted by Liam Kinghom.

Canada came out firing in the second half and scored early, again converted by Kinghom. However, Fiji responded through winger Josaia Ralulu, with Tuilagi adding the extras.

Canada kept pressing and managed two more tries one from Daragh Doyle and another from winger Morgan Di Nardo but both conversion attempts by Kinghom were unsuccessful.

Fiji sealed the win with their eighth and final try, scored by Thomas Setitaia and converted by Tuilagi, rounding off a comprehensive 56-24 victory.
