THE Fiji Rugby Under 20 team presented their itatau to President Major General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote as they gear up for the 2019 Oceania Rugby Championships that will be held in the Gold Coast, Australia.
“Remain focused and play as a team, respect your opponents and be good sportsmanship. Be humble in victory and grateful in loss,” said Konrote.
Some of the players were part of the Fiji Warriors side that won the Oceania Championship earlier this year.
Fiji plays Australia, New Zealand and Japan in the competition.
Fiji plays their first match against New Zealand on Friday, April 26, 2019, at 7pm, then they take on Australia on Tuesday, April 30, at 9pm and their final game will be against Japan on Saturday, May 4 at 7pm.
The selected players are Emosi Tuqiri, Meli Tuni, Seniloli Kuilamu, Tevita Ikanivere, Lino Vasuinadi, Livai Natave, Joseva Nasaroa, Isoa Nasilasila, Anasa Qaranivalu, Taniela Ramasibana, Christopher Minimbi, Vilive Miramira, Alivereti Loaloa, Etonia Waqa, Yabaki Seeto, Viliame Tuivau, Eparama Kaulotu, Aminiasi Shaw, Simione Kuruvoli, Josh Vuta, Mesake Kurisaru, Caleb Muntz, Taniela Soqonawasaloa, Veresa Tuqovu, Iliesa Droasese, Epeli Momo, Anare Waqasaqa, Kameli Rasuka, and Osea Natoga.
