New Zealand beat Fiji by eight wickets during the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup EAP Qualifier in Darwin, Australia yesterday.
Fiji won the toss and elected to bat first and were all out for 46 runs in 13.1 overs.
Sunia Yalimaiwai was the only Fijian batsman to get double digits with 18 runs.
Tukana Samuela Manakiwai’s eight runs was the side’s second best.
New Zealand bowler and man of the match Cameron Paul took five wickets in five overs.
Fiji’s bowlers Joeli Qalokimoala and Viliame Matai took one wicket each.
This was Fiji’s second loss in the tournament after falling to Japan on Thursday.
The side recorded earlier wins against Papua New Guinea and Indonesia in the week.
Fiji will now face Vanuatu tomorrow before taking on Samoa next Wednesday.
