The Fiji Football Association under-16s are the 2025 Youth Community Pacific Cup winners.

This as they defeated NZFFI All Stars U16 2-0 in a thrilling match at the Bill McKinlay Park in Auckland New Zealand yesterday.

Under heavy rain, the national U16 team displayed some brilliant football skills.

In the 27th minute of the first half Jone Logani scored the team’s first goal from the end of a corner, giving his team the much-needed confidence against the home side.

They led 1-0 at halftime.

A disciplined performance kept the host scoreless before Zafil Ali nailed the winner in the 36th minute of the second spell.

Fiji U16 had a fantastic run, raking up some impressive stats as the team that conceeded only one goal at the tournament.

Meanwhile, Rewa faced Auckland All Stars in the main final last night and the match was still on when this edition went to press.

Rewa had defeated AUFFI Australia All Stars 1-0 in the semis to make their first ever final at the Pacific Community Cup.

Gabriele Matanisiga netted what could arguably be the goal of the tournament with a stunning bicycle kick in the 56th minute of play to steer them through.

Defending champions Auckland All Stars sent Ba packing earlier in the first semi-final.

Samuela Kautoga’s 38th minute goal was enough for the back-to-back champions to go through.
