THE Fiji men’s triples bowls team had to settle for the bronze medal after losing to New Zealand in the semi-finals of the Asia Pacific Bowls Championship in Christchurch.
David Aitcheson, Arun Kumar and Waisea Senibici went down to their New Zealand opponents 20-16.
In the sectional play, Fiji defeated New Zealand 16-13.
Fiji finished unbeaten in the section recording six wins and a draw.
The side has qualified for the World Championships in New Zealand next year.
The men’s singles and fours and the women’s pairs and triples matches will start today.
