A TEAM of seven young swimmers departed our shores earlier this week, heading to Sydney for the Oceania Aquatics training & competition camp scheduled which started on Thursday and is set to conclude on December 20.

These seven swimmers include Reuben Taylor, Vivita Bai, Theola Kwong, Thaddeus Kwong, Charlina Simpson, Keenan Kostatino and Jamesa Younger.

They travel under the guidance of coach Paula Cokanasiga.

This high-performance programme forms part of the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic Pathway Initiative.

It is set to bring together developing athletes from across Oceania for elite training, exposure, and competition experience.

While in Sydney, our swimmers will also compete at the Senior State Age Championships from December 13-19 at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, racing for qualifying times, development benchmarks, and valuable international experience.
