The Fiji Rugby Union has appointed Talemo Waqa as Acting Chief Operations Officer, effective immediately.
Waqa brings more than three decades of experience in sports leadership, high-performance management, and rugby development across the Pacific — expertise the Union says will be vital as it strengthens its operations and future programs.
FRU chief executive Koli Sewabu said Waqa’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the organization.
“Talemo’s experience and leadership make him exceptionally well suited to guide Fiji Rugby during this important phase of growth,” Sewabu said.
The Union welcomed Waqa back into the fold, expressing confidence that his leadership will support Fiji Rugby’s next chapter of development on and off the field.
