Fiji marked a historic milestone by hosting the recent Global Sustainable Tourism Conference (GSTC) 2025 in Nadi.

The international event, held in the Pacific for the first time, brought together more than 350 delegates from over 30 countries.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka also launched Fiji’s first-ever fleet of electric tourist coaches, another trendsetter achievement by Fiji’s leading inbound tourism operator Rosie Travel Group.

Tourism Fiji deputy chair Fantasha Lockington said hosting GSTC 2025 showcased to the world that small island nations “can lead big change”.

“It’s an honour to welcome global changemakers to our shores and demonstrate our commitment to sustainable, community-focused tourism,” Ms Lockington said.
