Three senior directors of the Fiji Police Force will be in the United Kingdom to attend a four-week International Leadership Programme at the College of Policing.

The senior officers are Director Narcotics Bureau SSP Seru Neiko, Director Training and Education SSP Bereta Naisua and Director Intelligence Bureau SSP Salanieta Radaniva.

The program provides participants the opportunity to further develop a critical understanding of contemporary leadership and management skills, and analytical tools to assist in enhancing their effectiveness within their organisations.

SSP Radaniva says she is honored to be one of a few Fijian officers reconnecting with the UK in terms of police leadership training.

“We will make use of this great opportunity for the greater benefit of the organisation and the communities we are called to serve,” she said.

According to Police, the three directors and Acting Commissioner of Police Itendra Nair had met UK Permanent Secretary of State for the Home Office Matthew Rycroft prior to their departure to the UK last weekend.

It stated that discussions were also held between Mr Rycroft and Mr Nair on the organisation’s priorities on law and justice training opportunities through the UK College of Policing.

The trio will spend two weeks in London and two weeks with the Greater Manchester Constabulary.
