The Fiji Joint Rescue Coordination Centre based out of the Fiji Navy coordinated a medical evacuation for a crew member aboard MV CMA CGM Byblos on Thursday.
CMA CGM Byblos is a container ship, flying under the flag of France.
The patient was successfully retrieved by Fiji Navy, with Navy rescue medics and a medical team.
St John Ambulance provided ground transport for the clinical team and patient to the hospital following the successful retrieval.
