The United States government has donated two bomb disposal vehicles and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) equipment to the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
The donation came from the US Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement (PM/WRA), and Golden West Humanitarian Foundation (GWHF) to be used by the RFMF Engineers Regiments.
“Today marks a significant milestone in our ongoing collaboration to enhance the capabilities of our armed forces, particularly in critical areas of EOD,” said Commander Land Forces Brigadier General (Brig-Gen) Onisivoro Covunisaqa.
“The training we have received from Golden West has been invaluable, equipping our personnel with the skills and knowledge necessary to handle potentially dangerous situations with utmost professionalism and safety.”
