THE Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team continues to maintain its lead in the overall HSBC SVNS Series standings, despite their recent loss in the Perth 7s final to South Africa.
Led by Jerry Matana, the team currently sits at the top with 70 points after four tournaments, with South Africa closely behind in second place with 66 points.
Following them are New Zealand in third with 62 points, and France and Australia in fourth and fifth places with 54 points each.
Argentina holds the sixth position with 36 points, while Great Britain is at the bottom of the table with 30.
On the women’s side, the Fijiana team is in seventh place with 40 points, ahead of Great Britain with 16 points.
The women’s standings are led by New Zealand with 78 points, followed by Australia in second with 74.
The next stop on the Series will be Vancouver in Canada on the 7-8 of next month.
