Fiji has taken a major step toward sustainable energy by signing a Country Partnership Framework (CPF) with the International Solar Alliance (ISA).

The agreement, formalised at the Seventh Meeting of the ISA Regional Committee for Asia and the Pacific in Sri Lanka.

The CPF sets out a plan to advance clean energy in Fiji through expanding solar energy infrastructure across the country, enhancing Fiji’s ability to manage and sustain solar projects and developing solar technologies suited for island environments.

This partnership aims to promote climate resilience and sustainable development, positioning Fiji as a leader in renewable energy in the Pacific region.
