Fiji Football has announced the death of its Senior Vice President, Yogeshwar Singh.
He passed away last night at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva.
“We have lost a great man today — one who had football in his heart. Football was his life,” said Fiji FA President and FIFA Council Member Rajesh Patel.
“He made immense contributions to the development of the sport in Fiji and leaves behind a legacy many of us can only dream of fulfilling.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”
Mr Singh spent more than 30 years of his life to football administration.
He was elected Vice President of the Fiji FA in 2011 and had previously served as President of the Rewa Football Association. He also held key roles as Chairman of the National League Board and the Fiji FA Referees Committee.
