THE Fiji Car Club is urging people to have a view of Ravin Nath’s car which is Fiji’s ‘The fastest car’ with a record of 9.75 seconds in quarter mile sprints.
It will be showcased in the Fiji Car Club Penrite Oil-sponsored Car Show at Suva Handicraft Car park from 3pm to 9pm.
Club president Raizal Haniff said people always read about Nath in the media and this was an opportune time to see his car.
Nath owns a Holden Torana, powered by a V8 Chevy 572 engine.
“We always hear that he is a champion driver in Fiji, so this is the time for people to come and see what kind of a vehicle he has and what all he uses in his car,” he said.
“He has confirmed his participating for the show. The purpose is to give the chance for people to show their modified vehicles. There are two types of drivers, as one who takes part in the drag race and the other who invest to modify their vehicles.”
The new drivers who takes up the membership with the club will be given a free entry while a member would need to pay $30 fees.
“We also encourage parents to come with their children so the children could develop interests from a young age,” he added.
The entry fee for spectators is $3 for adults and children under-12 are free.
