Five Vanualevu teams have secured their places in the cup quarter-finals of the Under-21 division at the Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s following strong performances in the final round of pool matches yesterday.
Fiji Seasalt Taveuni, St Teresa Nukubalavu, Aloha Taveuni, Devo Babas and Loloma Heights all booked their quarter-final spots after finishing strongly in their respective pools.
In today’s quarter-final match-ups, Fiji Seasalt Taveuni will face St Teresa Nukubalavu, while Aloha Taveuni take on Devo Babas. Cagivou will play RKSOB, and Kasabias Village Boys are set to meet Loloma Heights.
Loloma Heights team official Semi Voladamu Bose said the side represents the Wailevu cluster in Savusavu and was formed by bringing together the best players from the area.
“We are looking forward to a good game on Saturday.
“This team was formed with the theme of empowering youths through rugby, and we are proud of how far the boys have come.”
