The Vodafone Fiji Bati have been handed a thrilling but demanding path to the 2026 Rugby League World Cup following yesterday’s official pool draw.
Fiji has been placed in Pool A alongside defending champion Australia, world number two New Zealand, and the ever-dangerous Cook Islands, setting the stage for some of the tournament’s most anticipated clashes.
With the World Cup to be played across three countries and nine host cities, the 2026 edition is being billed as the most competitive in the event’s history.
Fourteen nations will contest 53 matches across the men’s, women’s and wheelchair tournaments over 31 days.
For the Bati, the draw presents both a massive challenge and a golden opportunity to showcase Fiji’s rising rugby league stature on the world stage.
