FIJI-BASED organisations addressing financial inclusion, environmental protection and youth development will pitch directly to global investors this month, as part of a new Pacific Showcase at the Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific in Sydney.

The Summit, scheduled for March 25–26, is the Asia–Pacific’s leading impact investment forum, bringing together institutional investors, foundations, family offices and enterprises seeking opportunities that deliver financial returns alongside measurable social and environmental outcomes.

For the first time, Pacific organisations will participate in a dedicated Pacific Showcase, facilitated by Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) – the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat’s trade and investment promotion agency.

The initiative will see Pacific ventures pitch directly to global investors and capital providers attending the Summit, positioning Pacific-led solutions within one of the region’s most influential impact investment forums.

Several Fiji based and Fiji founded organisations have been selected to present, reflecting the country’s growing pipeline of credible impact enterprises:

• South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) Microfinance Network – founded in Fiji and now the Pacific’s largest microfinance institution, supporting women entrepreneurs through micro-loans, financial literacy and business training.

n Waste Recyclers Fiji – Fiji’s longest-operating recycling enterprise, advancing circular economy solutions and tackling plastic pollution through nationwide collection and processing systems.

n Good Return – an impact investment organisation working across the Pacific region – including Fiji – to expand access to finance for underserved small businesses, particularly women-led enterprises.

n The Drua Foundation – a Fiji-based charitable trust connected to the Fijian Drua rugby franchise, delivering youth development, health and education programs across communities nationwide.

PTI Australia Trade Commissioner Tim Martin said the Pacific Showcase represents an important milestone in elevating Pacific-led impact initiatives on the global stage.

“The Pacific is generating a growing pipeline of credible, investment-ready ventures delivering solutions across areas such as financial inclusion, climate resilience and community wellbeing,” he said.

“The Impact Investment Summit brings together investors actively deploying capital across our region, and this Showcase creates a practical pathway for Pacific enterprises to engage with that community and explore partnerships that can scale both their operations and their impact.”

Drua Foundation managing director Melissa Natawake said the summit offers an opportunity to showcase Fiji’s impact work to an international investment audience.

“The Drua Foundation is proud to represent Fiji and demonstrate how sport can drive meaningful social outcomes,” Ms Natawake said.

“Our programs support young people, families and communities across the country through rugby development pathways, health and education initiatives and grassroots outreach.

“Opportunities like the Impact Investment Summit allow us to connect with partners who share our vision for long-term impact across Fiji.”

Pacific Trade Invest has worked closely with participating organisations to support their engagement at the Summit, positioning Fiji and Pacific enterprises to attract investment and partnerships capable of driving sustainable growth across the region.
