Fiji Airways has once again earned global recognition for its signature Fijian hospitality, taking home two major titles at the 2026 APEX Best in Airline Awards — Best Cabin Service and Best Food & Beverage in the South Pacific.
The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), one of the world’s most respected airline rating bodies, announced the winners during the APEX FTE Asia EXPO at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
The awards are based on over one million verified passenger votes collected independently via TripIt by Concur, the world’s most trusted travel-organising app.
The wins come on the heels of Fiji Airways being named an APEX World Class Airline for 2026, a distinction held by only ten airlines worldwide. It is also the smallest airline by fleet size — and the only carrier in Oceania — to ever receive the honour, which recognises excellence in safety, sustainability, well-being, and customer service.
“Receiving these awards is a proud moment for everyone at Fiji Airways,” said Managing Director and CEO Paul Scurrah.
“The awards reinforce our position as a premium carrier in the region. Our continued investment in service quality, dining innovation, and training ensures that the warmth of Fiji shines through in every aspect of the journey. We are proud of this achievement — and we are just getting started.”
Chief Customer Officer Akuila Batiweti said the recognition was especially meaningful because it came directly from passengers.
“Our cabin crew and culinary teams work tirelessly to deliver a uniquely Fijian experience at 35,000 feet — one that blends warm island hospitality, exceptional service, and authentic flavours. To be recognised by our guests themselves makes this achievement truly special,” he said.
Recognising more than 600 airlines worldwide, the APEX Best in Airline Awards celebrate excellence in seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment, and connectivity.
