Fiji Airways unveils business class lounge

NATIONAL carrier Fiji Airways has unveiled its brand new business class lounge at the Nadi International Airport.

The state-of-the-art Fiji Airways Premier Lounge can accommodate 200 people, offering a world-class experience for business class passengers.

Fiji Airways managing director and CEO Andre Viljoen said the company was delighted.

“We’re proud to be able to offer this product to our Business Class guests, Tabua members, guests of our partner airlines as well as pay for use customers,” he said.

“It has been 12 months of extensive design and development work with our customer experience team, airports team, architects, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to get us here today (yesterday).

“2017 has been a monumental year for Fiji Airways with record profits, record profit shares and bonus payouts.”

He said the lounge offered a world-class experience with a dedicated family area, a quiet zone and a media room which doubled as a private meeting space.

The lounge also features a designated children’s room called Lailai Land that comes complete with a fully qualified nanny.

Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum congratulated the airline for their investment and collaborative work with relevant stakeholders.

“We have seen that AFL has been working very closely with Fiji Airways and what Fiji Airways has invested has also increased the value of AFL and of course these types of collaborations are very important,” he said.

“Unfortunately, there are still some people who are not on the same page.

“We hope that those of you who are not on the same page, those who are here or outside this room actually get on the page because it is only through collaboration and be able to have a vision in respect to what Fiji is capable of doing.

“The point is that Fiji is capable of delivering such products.

“The point is that Fiji is capable of delivering an even better product and it can only happen through having a vision and through collaboration and it can only happen through a partnership and that is very critical.”
