The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption has sought time to file their responses to former SODELPA MP Salote Radrodro’s appeal application.
Appearing before Justice Chandana Prematilaka in Suva today, FICAC lawyer Darren Hickes said they had received the application filed by Mrs Radrodro’s counsel, Jagath Karunaratne.
Mr Karunaratne said they had filed their submissions in October.
He said their appeal was against Mrs Radrodro’s conviction and the transfer of the case from Magistrates Court to High Court.
FICAC lawyer Darren Hickes said they would need time to respond to the submissions.
He sought 21 days to make their submissions.
The matter has been adjourned to January 15.
