The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) and the wider football community are in mourning following the passing of Madran Nadan, a former Navua FA president and Fiji FA treasurer, whose passion and leadership left an indelible mark on Fijian football.

In a statement that was released yesterday, Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel expressed profound sadness at the loss, describing Nadan as a pillar of the football community.

“It’s a huge loss,” Patel said.

“He had been a great footballer and an inspirational leader of his time. Madran’s dedication and passion for football were unmatched, and his leadership was pivotal in the development of the sport.”

Nadan’s tenure as Navua FA president saw the rise of Navua as a force in Fijian football, with his vision helping to shape the team’s success and inspiring countless players and officials to strive for greatness.

His contribution to Fiji FA as treasurer also showcased his commitment to the administrative side of the sport, ensuring its growth off the field.

Patel extended his deepest sympathies to Nadan’s family during this difficult time.

“To lose a family member is never easy,” Patel shared.

“I pray to the Almighty that his soul rests in peace.”

Nadan’s legacy as a leader and visionary lives on in the hearts of those who knew him and, in the community, he served so passionately.

His loss leaves a void in Fijian football that will not easily be filled.
