The Fijian Elections Office has announced remuneration packages for election officials as part of its nationwide recruitment drive.
Presiding Officers will receive $450, Assistant Presiding Officers $330, and Polling Day Workers $220, while Polling Venue Assistants will earn $150. Pre-poll staff will be paid daily rates ranging from $81 to $120 depending on roles.

In a public notice, the FEO announced that Phase 1 of recruitment will run from April 13 to May 9, 2026, inviting eligible Fijians to apply for a range of temporary positions.
The office said recruitment will be conducted across various roles, including presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, polling venue assistants and data entry operators.
“The FEO is pleased to announce that recruitment of election officials will begin on 13 April 2026,” the notice stated.
Applicants are expected to meet specific criteria and will undergo training before deployment.
The FEO emphasised that the recruitment process is part of its ongoing efforts to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of election services.
Interested individuals have been encouraged to submit applications within the recruitment period, with successful candidates to be engaged on a temporary basis for election-related duties.
