Post the resort’s most successful inaugural Beach, Beats and Eats in July, Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa is staging their second event by popular demand.
The event will be monthly, running over weekends from Friday night to Sunday evening.
The next edition of Beach, Beats & Eats, with the theme Touch of Latin will be held on Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23.
Guest can stay over the weekend availing the resort’s special local rate.
In conjunction with Tourism Fiji’s Love Our Locals Campaign, this event brings together music, entertainment, fabulous cuisines and artisans all showcasing local Fijian talent and supporting locals over these challenging times.
Each month Beach, Beats & Eats will have a different theme allowing various local talents to shine as well as keeping it exciting for guests and staff.
For the upcoming Beach, Beats & Eats the resort has put together an exciting program with a Touch of Latin and fiesta flair themes to the entertainment and cuisine.
Entertainment for the three-day event starts on Friday night with an acoustic session by Kuki followed by Inside Out band on Saturday night and Sassy by the pool on Sunday.
There will also be a poolside DJ on Saturday to keep everyone entertained throughout the day while enjoying the lagoon and pool.
The VOU Dance Troupe will also perform on Friday night, throughout Saturday with kids’ dance classes and pop up performances throughout the evening.
The resort’s chefs will be cooking to the theme with food stalls set around the beachfront for guests to experience Cuban cuisines such as spit-roasted tacos (the Taco El Pastor), Cuban sandwiches and more.
And of course, a Mojito bar will be ready to keep everyone refreshed and happy.
The resort will also have a Cuban corner with an outdoor cigar lounge offering Cuban cigars and a choice of speciality Yanuca Rums to enjoy under the stars.
The Projects Collective, in conjunction with other local artisans, will be featuring their wares on Saturday and Sunday with guests encouraged to give them support.
Beach, Beats & Eats is a fun way to spend the weekend whilst supporting the local community on the Coral Coast with family and friends.
