A 28-year-old man was returning home from work yesterday when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving at Nukutatava junction.
Father of two, Ashneel Chand, was later rushed to the Labasa Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
His father-in-law Anil Kumar described Mr Chand as a loving husband and caring father.
“It’s unfortunate this accident happened,” he said.
Mr Kumar said he (Mr Chand) was returning home from work.
Police said the a post-mortem examination would be conducted to ascertain Mr Chand’s cause of death.
