Fashion Council to launch 2019 Fijian Fashion Festival

AFTER its inaugural success this year, the Fashion Council of Fiji is bringing another exciting feature of its Fijian Fashion Festival.

The council will be launching its Fijian Fashion Festival 2019 this Saturday – December 15 bringing in a new theme for the event “Neon High Fashion”.

According to a statement from the council, guests will be transported into the future as the Fashion Festival looks to reignite national interest in innovation, change, and growth.

Fashion Council of Fiji and Fijian Fashion Festival chairperson Faraz Ali said they were pleased to bring another Fijian Fashion Festival – showcasing the diverse growth in the local fashion scene.

“We are as always committed to the values of diversity, inclusivity, and excellence. We look forward to leading our market into the future, where we celebrate what’s next and what’s new?” Ali said.

“I believe that we are an industry that can be a global leader in redefining the output and consumption of fashion. In 2018 we announced the arrival of the revolution, in 2019 we announce the arrival of the future.”

The launch will include details of the Festival including dates, runways, confirmed designers, and other elements.

The Fijian Fashion Festival is an initiative of the Fashion Council of Fiji. It is Fiji’s first and only not for profit, industry owned, trade and consumer fashion platform.

The Fashion Council of Fiji endorsed the festival as Fiji’s only national platform for fashion business.

The Fashion Council of Fiji and Fijian Fashion Festival is aim to support the growth of fashion business, and the broader Creative industries by providing training opportunites, access to external markets, and a platform that connects fashion business operators to enthusiastic, relevant markets and events.

The launch will be held at the New Zealand High Commissioner’s Official Residence from 7:30pm.
