RESIDENTS of Nadi can expect a lot of fun-filled entertainment with the return of the Nadi Farmers Carnival in November.
The set-up which is just similar to that of the Lautoka Farmers Carnival is expected to draw a large crowd with hopes of also providing reasonable prices for members of the public.
“Fiji Airways is looking good to sponsor the carnival and we hope to get a total of 10 contestants for the nine days carnival,” said organiser Vyas DEO Sharma.
“The success of the Lautoka Farmers Carnival has made us want to move to other municipalities and the Nadi one looks good now so we will start off from there.
“My main concern is things have been so expensive in the carnivals, the rides, the food prices and we hope to reduce the prices of stalls just so the prices could go down as well for people to enjoy the carnival.”
Mr Sharma said he hoped to create farmers carnivals in all districts as their main aim had always been to raise money for underprivileged children.
The nine-day Nadi Farmers Carnival will kick-off on November 22 at Nadi’s Koroivolu Park.
Meanwhile, Mr Sharma added the audit for the total money raised from the Lautoka Farmer’s Carnival would be revealed soon after a private firm completed its audit of their accounts.
