Cakaudrove farmer Amenatape Volavola has not regretted purchasing a biogas package because it has not only reduced his budget but increased garden production.

The Nakasa villager, who is the first customer in the North to own a home biogas, believes it has also come in handy during this pandemic.

“We already have the rule of ‘no jab, no job’ and very soon it will come to ‘no jab, no buy’ so having this biogas facility will help me produce my own manure, food from the garden and I don’t have to buy gas,” he said.

“Since buying this home biogas from Courts with the help of Pacific Grow two weeks ago, I am now making my own organic chemicals.

“This package produces gas and liquid manure which I am selling and that brings income to my family too so I strongly recommend for people to buy this as it helps in many ways.”

Mr Volavola said the purchase had also saved him from cutting trees which he used as firewood.

“It’s environmental friendly and I have never regretted purchasing it because we have benefitted in many ways.”
