A family of Namada settlement in Ba has been forced to turn to a nearby creek as a water source as supply disruptions continue to affect the area they live in.
Mereoni Magiti and her family of six make the 20-minute trek to the water source, laden with laundry and containers.
“We did our washing early this morning,” she said.
“When the advisory came for people to store water, we stored water for drinking and cooking.”
While the family acted quickly to secure their immediate needs, the reality of life with a limited supply set in as containers began to run dry.
Ms Magiti, who is employed in the restaurant industry, has been forced to take time away from work due to limited transport.
