A family in Lautoka is homeless after a fire destroyed their house on New Year’s Eve.
The house was located on Jinnu Rd and the fire started soon after midnight.
The house owner was admitted in hospital with two other occupants managing to escape.
Police spokesperson Wame Boutolu said the cause of the fire and the cost of damage was being ascertained.
The four-bedroom house was made of concrete, timber and corrugated iron roof.
The family is now living with neighbours.
