Family, friends farewell Ratu Sela

Update: 12:28PM THE late Social Democratic Liberal Party parliamentarian, Ratu Sela Nanovo, was today laid to rest at the Lovonilase Cemetary in Suva.

He was farewelled by family and friends, and some members of Opposition.

Speaking on behalf of the political party during the homegoing service at the Centenary Methodist Church in Suva today, party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka said Ratu Sela would be sorely missed and fondly remembered by the party and its members.

“He knew a lot of things about the vanua. I want to thank him for being part of the SODELPA Party and he cared for the people of Fiji,” Mr Rabuka said.

“I want to thank the vanua and the family members for your support towards Ratu Sela till the day he passed.”

Ratu Sela hailed from the chiefly family in Tavuki, Kadavu.

He was appointed to serve as the Shadow Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations.

Ratu Sela passed away at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital last Wednesday.

He is survived by his wife, four children, and four grandchildren.
