Families and well-wishers bid businessman farewell

HUNDREDS of people turned up at the Christ the King Parish in Ba today for the funeral of renowned businessman Daniel Elisha.

The homecoming service was attended by the Ba business people, government officials, and well-wishers.

Government leaders included Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Minister for Employment Parveen Kumar.

In his eulogy, Mr Bala said Ba lost one of its favourite and highly-respected sons.

“He was a Ba boy through and through. He never forgot his roots,” he said.

Mr Elisha passed away on October 26 in New Zealand.
