A season of creation program organised by the Fiji Council of Churches held at Ratu Sukuna Park in Suva on Wednesday has been applauded by different faith-based leaders in the country.

The one-day event, with the theme ‘Peace with Creation and amongst Religions’, saw different faith-based organisations in Fiji gather for a day of singing and sharing of religious messages.

“We feel very blessed that they invited all the faiths to be here today and the theme as it states is ‘Peace with Creation’, and with all other religions – which is very meaningful in this day and age because we, as faith-based organisations, really need to work together to respect each others faiths so that there can be peace and harmony in this world,” Hanuman Chalisa Parivaar president Ravi Singh told The Fiji Times.

Pastor Tomasi Jale from the Methodist Church of Fiji and Rotuma said the program was important as “the church plays a very important role” in the care and protection of the people, and the environment.
