The Ezer Women’s Rugby 7s side is ready for the 37th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s, and they are determined to showcase their skills and make their supporters proud.
After a tough loss in the cup semi-finals against Navy women 17-5 at the Fiji Bitter Nahehevia 7s, the team is focused on addressing their mistakes and improving their performance for the upcoming tournament.
Coach Tuilena Ranadi emphasized the team’s focus on possession and defense, as well as honing their tackling techniques.
“The team, is comprised of young players from Lautoka, has been training and playing together for the past year, and they are eager to demonstrate their talent at the upcoming event,” said Ranadi.
Ranadi highlighted the players’ sprinting abilities and their proficiency in handling the ball, as well as their speed, as key strengths.
The team acknowledges the significance of refining their possession and defensive strategies to excel in the tournament.
“The players are committed to learning from their experience at the previous tournament and are determined to put on an improved performance.
“We are eager to take on the competition and really grateful for the support of our fans, expressing our hopes to make them proud in the upcoming matches.” she added.
The 37th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s tournament will kick-start this Friday and Saturday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
