EXPERTS will be brought in to assist with the restoration of the Rarawai Sugar Mill after the recent fire, says Minister for Sugar and Multi-Ethnic Affairs Charan Jeath Singh.
The mill management team, along with the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC), have completed their own evaluations to assess the damage.
“So, barring any major unexpected findings from the investigation, the management and FSC are anticipating and have already put in place arrangements for experts,” Mr Singh said.
“They are forward-looking in terms of anticipating what may need to be procured in terms of spare parts.”
He said this also included damaged infrastructure.
“As soon as the investigation is done, the place is cleared, FSC will get on immediately to fix the Rarawai mill.”
